The BAME Network organised a celebration of Lunar New Year with much loved traditions and decorations around LAE.

Lunar New Year begins on January 22, 2023 and marks the new cycle on the lunisolar calendar representing new beginnings and the renewal of good health, happiness and fortune.  The holiday is one of the biggest celebrations across Asia and the Asian diaspora.

LAE celebrated with posters and decorations around the school to commemorate the New Year; students were invited to take part in the red envelope exchange and send red envelopes to peers with their own crafted messages and the choice of a celebratory chocolates; and delicious catered Chinese food from the agora was on offer during the week.
