About LAE

Safeguarding at LAE

London Academy of Excellence aims to ensure that the health, happiness and safety of all students is our top priority. This is achieved by all staff taking appropriate action in a timely manner to safeguard and promote children’s welfare.

We require that all staff are aware of their statutory responsibilities with respect to safeguarding and are properly training in recognising and reporting safeguarding issues.

Everyone in the LAE community, has a role to play in promoting a caring, positive, safe and stimulating environment which promotes the spiritual, moral, social and cultural development of every individual student.

The Designated Safeguarding Lead for London Academy of Excellence is Jenny Castle-Miller, Assistant Head. Safeguarding concerns can be reported at Safeguarding@lae.ac.uk

LAE is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

In a thorough review and report by the Safeguarding in Education Service, London Borough of Newham, LAE's safeguarding was judged to be exceptional.
