LAE has been named runner up in this year’s World’s Best School for Supporting Healthy Lives. We would like to extend our congratulations to the winning school - Curie Metropolitan High School in Chicago, USA as well as to Larrakeyah Primary School of Darwin, Australia, the other finalist.  

The fact that we progressed so far is testament to the commitment and hard work of our Deputy Head (Pastoral), Mr Webster, and the pastoral team who have done so much to foster a culture of concern and support for wellbeing at LAE. As ever, our students were exceptional throughout the process and we are extremely proud of them, in particular our Mental Health Network Leads. 

We remain incredibly honoured to have reached the final three in the World's Best School Prizes for our exceptional work. And we are delighted at the recognition that focusing on mental health and wellbeing results in students reaching their full potential with a wider awareness of environment, development of resilience, creativity and problem-solving techniques and the skills to be healthy and successful throughout their lives.
