LAE Stratford ranked top (mainstream) sixth form college in the UK
We are proud to announce that LAE Stratford was ranked top (mainstream) sixth form college in the UK in last Sunday’s Sunday Times Schools Guide 2019 league table (£).
The school actually placed 3rd on the list of top 75 sixth form colleges behind King’s College London Mathematics School and Exeter Mathematics School. Given that these two specialist providers only offer a very narrow curriculum (Maths, Further Maths, Computer Science and Physics) to small numbers of students, LAE can legitimately claim to be the top mainstream sixth form A-Level provider in Newham and the UK for the fourth year running.
Head Master Scott Baker said “I would like to congratulate the whole LAE community on this terrific achievement. LAE has once again lived up to its name and proved that with hard work, high expectations and the aspiration to succeed, there really are no limits on what young people can achieve, irrespective of their background”.
LAE Stratford was the only East London sixth form college inside the top 65, and the announcement puts our school and Newham firmly at the front of educational progress in the country.
