Last week, Year 13 English Literature students visited the Theatre Royal, Haymarket to see its critically acclaimed production of Othello – a world-class piece of theatre featuring an all-star cast, with David Harewood, Toby Jones and Caitlin Fitzgerald taking the lead roles.

Students were gripped by a pared-down two-hour show, admiring a stylish production that invited new ways of thinking about and interpreting this A-level set text. The evening was a fitting celebration for Year 13’s hard work in the autumn term, and the experience an invaluable one for their understanding of this Shakespeare tragedy.
