LAE Students Thrive in a Supportive Environment

Ofsted inspectors visited LAE in March 2024 and, once again, rated LAE as outstanding across all categories.  A school where students excel academically while feeling part of a vibrant and inclusive community; where they are provided with opportunities to develop friendships, leadership skills, and a sense of belonging.

Inspectors highlighted that students are "extremely motivated because of the high-quality teaching they experience." With outstanding Teachers setting ambitious goals and providing excellent support to help students achieve, students are highly motivated to succeed and  actively participate in challenging themselves and reaching their potential.

LAE was congratulated for prioritising student well-being with inspectors noting that students "receive very effective support from their teachers and pastoral staff." Additional academic sessions, one-on-one tutoring, and exceptional mental health support, ensure that our students feel valued, cared for, and safe.

Headteacher, Alex Crossman comments: "This is a testament to the exceptional community of scholars, teachers and students alike, who make up this very special school. We're particularly proud that inspectors recognised the depth of commitment to student wellbeing that pervades everything we do."
