British Council's Festival of Languages
In February, LAE took part in the British Council's festival of language through their 'Celebrate Speaking' Campaign.
Throughout the month, staff and students shared their love of language through the recitation or performance of either their own or a native author's creative writing, songs and recitations. This project helped LAE celebrate the skill of speaking a modern foreign language confidently and coherently. Speaking is an important part of the MFL curriculum across the United Kingdom and a significant part of linguistic and cultural development for all learners of languages. At LAE, language study is seen as a transformative journey that can reshape brains, enrich personal lives, and open doors to a world you never knew existed.
